Tip Explanation
Deleting Browsing History It is always good practice to clear the history and delete all the cookies, temporary internet files after using the internet, especially if the same computer is used by more than one.
Control + Enter

We can type just the name of the website and press Control+Enter, then it will take us to the website with that name. No need of typing "www" and "com"

Example: Type techstudentsworld and press control+enter you will be directed to

http://www.techstudentsworld.com
Setting number of days of history to be saved in IE To set the number of days of history to be stored in IE:
Open Internet Explorer,
Go to Tools->Internet Options->Select Settings in Browsing history section->A dialog box opens, in that under History section select the number of days of history to be saved
.

To automatically delete the Temporary Internet Files Folder To automatically delete the Temporary Internet files folder whenever you close the IE browser:
Open IE->Tools->Internet Options->Select “Advanced” tab->Under “Security” section->Check the “Empty Temporary Internet Files Folder when the browser is closed”.

Going to a  website without first opening the browser In Microsoft Windows, you can go to a website directly by going to start->Run and typing the address there.No need to open the browser and type URL in its address bar.
Turning on/off Pop-up blocker in IE You can turn on/off Pop-up blocker in IE by:
Open IE->Go to Tools->Pop-up Blocker-> Select Turn on/off Pop-up blocker.
Viewing the HTML code of a Web Page If you want to view the HTML coding of any web page:
Open browser->Go to View->Select source.
Restricting the sites in IE If you want to add any of the sites as the restricted site in IE:
Open IE->Go to Tools->Internet Options->Security tab->Select  Restricted Sites image-> click sites button->Type the url of website you want to restrict->click Add.
Temporary Internet Files and History Settings You can set the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings like how much disk space to use for storing them, how often to check for newer version of stored pages etc in IE by:
Open IE-> Go to Tools->Select Internet Options->Select Settings under Browsing history section, here you can set those settings.
alt + <- and alt + -> You can go to the previous and next pages in a browser by using alt + <- (backward arrow) and alt+-> (forward arrow) respectively.
Secured site with "https" When you are doing any transactions involving money like online shopping, money transfer etc. make sure that you are dealing with a secured site using "https" instead of "http". Also the browser should display the locked symbol when you are in a secured site.
Sending Web page by Email If you find a good web page while browsing and want to send it to others, In IE:
Go to File-> Send-> Page by Email, Microsoft Outlook opens, there you can type address and send it.
Sending link of Web page by Email If you find a good web page while browsing and want to send the link of that web page to others, In IE:
Go to File-> Send-> Link by Email, Microsoft Outlook opens, there you can type the sender address and send it.
 
Creating shortcut of the web page To create a shortcut for the web page you want in IE:
Go to File-> Send->Shortcut to Desktop, then a shortcut to that web page will be created on your desktop.
F5 for refreshing web page If you want to refresh a web page, press F5.
Viewing Full Screen If you want to view a web page in full screen, press F11 or goto View->Full Screen.
Compromised Account If you suspect that any of your account has been compromised, the first and the best thing  to do is to close that account immediately.
