We can create wireless network at our home using wireless router so that we can access internet from any room. In order to have wireless network at home we need
(a) Computer.
(b) Broadband Internet.
(c) Wireless Router.
Computer:
If our computer does not have the built-in wireless networking support, then we have to use a wireless network adapter.

This will connect our computer to the wireless router without using any wires.

Linksys WUSB600N Wireless USB Network Adapter costs about $45 to $50.
Broadband Internet
We should first have the broadband Internet connection at our home before creating a wireless networking. Wireless Router:
The Wireless router transforms the Internet connection signals into wireless broadcast. This is connected to our modem. Then we have to configure the router by connecting it to our computer temporarily using the network cable (usually it comes with the wireless router).
After configuring the router, the network cable can be removed so that our computer can wirelessly connect to the router there by creating a wireless internet access. There are different wireless standards called Wi-Fi technologies such as 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n.
Most of the home wireless network routers support 802.11g which provides good performance and compatibility. This standard is expected to provide the bandwidth of 54 Mbps.
