Windows 98

Windows 98 was released in June 1998 and obviously an updated version of Windows 95. Some of the special features of Windows 98 are:

a. Enhanced support for devices like USB, DVD, AGP, MMX etc.

b. Provides extra support for significant documents or files by automatically backing up the registry.

c. Internet Explorer 4.0 was included.

d. Able to translate the drive to FAT32 efficiently.

e. Ability to detect the devices efficiently with increased PnP support.

f. More advanced featured for taskbar were introduced.

g. Active desktop feature using which desktop can be customized was included.
