The processor’s
clock speed which is the rate at which the processor processes the data and the
size of the instruction/data bus are the two most important factors that determine
the overall speed of a computer.
More data can be transferred in a given amount
of time if the bus is wider and faster resulting in increase of speed.
While
designing the processors with efficient performance the main element to consider
is the Cache memory.
